What Dragon Wings Game Players Are Saying

Don’t just take it from us, let the players do the talking!

“I mentor an eleven-year-old girl, Leela. We first played Dragon Wings one gloomy day at the library. We fell in love with it! We were a little shy, being our first session together. Very quickly this shyness disappeared.

The game encouraged us to be silly, to do things that made us laugh. We learned to ask, and to listen. The game got us to jump up and fly around the room…and to find our inner dragon.

The next time she asked, “Are we going to play the Dragon Wings Game again?” We did! In fact, we have played it each of the ten times we have gotten together. That’s how much we love it. Each time we play it’s unique. That makes it really exciting.

I know, through Dragon Wings, we have a connection we wouldn’t have otherwise. Leela and I agree…Dragon Wings is our favorite game ever!

Child Mentoring

“In Dragon Wings you feel you’re in a child’s dream world, surrounded by good luck, merriment, and a sense of adventure. It gave me great joy!

Dragon Wings is a family game, but, secretly, it’s really for adults to return to their child-like playfulness.”

This game is hilarious!

Homeschooler

“In our clinic, we recommend parents play board games with their children. This is why I am so excited about Dragon Wings!

Empathy can’t be taught. It must be experienced. The activities in Dragon Wings bring opportunities for empathy and bonding. It actually creates a sense of ‘family’ as you play. The focused presence, sharing, loving questions, and sweet active and imaginative fun makes Dragon Wings a fantastic child development support, and enhances a parent’s relationship with their child.

Personally, I am fascinated about how the game stimulates relationship and imagination. I love how beautifully each part of the game is designed…visually and experientially, it is a joy to play.”

Dragon Wings Training Ground Re-established!

For a thousand years, Dragon Masters taught the winged young to fly…
and live their life with grace, strength and joy.
Then, a tyrant walled off their land and banned the training.
Winged creatures lost their delight in flying, no longer living with spirit and awe.
They forgot the goodness of their neighbors.

A few brave winged young freed the last Dragon Masters,
overthrew the rotten-hearted ruler and learned to truly fly.
So, once again, the young are training to fly (and live) with delight and strength.
Adults who were never taught to fly have joined them, too.

The Dragons invite you…
“Come, be part of it!”

Our Story

.
My daughter, Kessie, at age 6, watched as I created Love Springs, a relationship building game for adults. One day, Kessie announced, “Daddy, kids need to learn to relate, too!  We are going to make a game…called Dragon Wings. In the game, kids are going to get their wings, and learn how to fly!”

An amazing idea. And, I thought, “Adults need to learn to relate to kids, too!”

So… We imagined. We collaborated. We brainstormed. We designed. I added my knowledge of relationship science, neuroscience, child-rearing, parenting, empathy, and the development of a human being.

Kessie, as Chief Fun Evaluator, had the last word on whether each activity was fun or not, and whether the words were understandable by kids or not.

Well, we did it! Our Dragon Wings game is the product of our love, playfulness and knowledge. Enjoy!

Is it possible I have Dragon Pox?

Dragon Pox

If you get sleepy, bored, inattentive or impatient while playing with kids…you likely have a moderate case of Dragon Pox.
If you get angry or frustrated, or if your children are afraid to let you play, it’s a severe case.

Dragon Pox is an affliction of busy adults and some kids.
It prevents them from relaxing and enjoying play and make-believe. Because they are handling life rather than living life, they have a hard time being in the moment. It isn’t easy for them to feel love from others.

I, too, had Dragon Pox when my first child was born.
She was sleeping on my chest. I felt great peace and love.
Suddenly, in my brain I heard, “You have to call Scott!”
I did not have to call Scott!  It was the Pox.

Then, I’d get strangely sleepy when reading to her, falling asleep mid-sentence. And, my patience was tested just playing games! It became very clear. I had Dragon Pox.

I had to do something. This couldn’t continue!

How did I cure it?   I sang hundreds of silly songs.  I drew miles of Yellow Brick Roads on sidewalks with chalk. And, I was in therapy with Dr. Seuss for many years.

Mainly, it was strong love. A commitment for my child to have the best of me. Now, beautiful relationships with my three loving children inspire my life.

As a psychobiologist, a neuroscientist and a doctor, I bring you a cure for Dragon Pox in the form of this Dragon Wings game.

You will have to do your part. Commit to a full, loving presence with your child.  And…yes, you may need many Dragon Wings game “treatments” for a complete cure.

Dragon Pox is a major cause of the problems facing our world. It keeps us from forming enlivened relationships and having compassion for each other. A remedy for Dragon Pox brings more love to our families, respect to our society & goodwill between nations. Be part of the solution!

And, a perk for your health… Science shows laughter and fun lead to a healthier, longer and more enjoyable life.

Kids can get the Pox early. Those who have more screen time than true ‘face time’ or active play are usually already afflicted.

You can be the cure (or the prevention) for your child. When you play Dragon Wings, first use the instructions for a “Quick Game”. You will build your skills, and ability to deeply relate, at a sustainable rate, without frustrating your kids. Then, use the regular directions when ready.

A child follows your lead. Be enchanted by them. Be present with them. Be in love with your life and theirs. Play this game.
Teach your child to relate, and they will be loved for a lifetime.
This is the antidote. It gives immunity to Dragon Pox, plus joy, richness and meaning to your life.
